10 (Unusual) Things Our Skin Loves!

Hi, natural beauty! I hope you are having a great week so far,

Today, I am bringing 10 simple advices to add to your skincare routine that will change your skin - since they are not really common tips. So check this out:

1- use natural and gentle products;

remember what was said in the newsletter from last week? The skin is our second mouth and will absorb everything we put on it, so avoid aggressive and toxic products. Treat it with affection and kindness.

2- cold water;

I like to wash my skin with cold water because in addition to help circulation, it also helps to chill down any inflammation it may have. Furthermore, warm/hot water on the skin will reduce its natural oily barrier - and trust me, you def don't want this!

3- apply botanical oils and butters;

In addition to bringing nutrition to the skin due to their numerous properties, they will also retain/hold the hydration (which comes from within through food and daily fluid consumption), and it will make your skin look more hydrated and glowing.

4- fruits and vegetables;

the secret to keeping your skin young, hydrated and healthy-looking, as fruits and vegetables naturally contain liquids and are rich in vitamins, minerals and antioxidants. Eat fruits and veggies daily and look for different ones every week.

5- sunbathe;

Yep, that's right: go out and get some sun! The sun is not our enemy, on the contrary. The sun brings countless health benefits and, like everything else in life, the secret is knowing how to use it in moderation. Furthermore, healthy skin, with a good natural barrier, should not be sensitive to the sun and get burned easily.

6- dandelion, hibiscus and peppermint tea;

They have antioxidants and anti-inflammatory proprieties, they are caffeine-free and help with detoxification and circulation. Skin that needs support will love these teas!

7- massage;

Our face also needs to be massaged from time to time: this helps to open lymphatic pathways that are stagnant, the circulation of the skin in general, as well as being something relaxing that your skin deserves!

8- exercise;

Speaking of circulation and the lymphatic system...physical exercise! Movement! Try to move your body daily, do something that brings you pleasure and joy.

9- less stressful routine;

Our skin doesn't like stress (just like the rest of our body!), if your skin isn't looking very well, pay attention to your routine. Stress does affect skin health.

10- sleep well;

It's the last item, but honestly, it should be the first. A good night of sleep can totally change your skin. But it must be a quality sleep: without interruptions/no waking up several times. It must be a straight sleep of at least 7 hours or more.

I hope I helped you with this week’s tips!
